Badminton Club: Contact Chris (01228 712979). WHERE AND WHEN: Thursby Parish Hall. Mixed sessions on Mondays (7:30-9:30pm) and Wednesdays (7:30-9:30). The Thursby Badminton Club started in September 2010 thanks to our new Parish Hall having a badminton court. There is a membership of over 40 likeminded adults who like to keep fit and have fun at the same time. The Club sessions are set out above and members can also book the Hall for private badminton sessions, but for insurance purposes all players must be club members.

The Craft Club meet in a friendly informal setting to share varied craft activities e.g. beading, box making, embroidery to name but a few. Individual interests are often shared within the group and outside providers also come and introduce new skills. Sometimes visits are made to Craft Exhibitions etc. to help broaden members’ interests. Anyone interested is most welcome to come and see what we do if you would like
to consider becoming a member.

We are a friendly group of people who like to talk and learn about plants and vegetables. In the winter we have monthly meetings with a presentation by an expert followed by a chat and cup of tea. During the summer we get out and about on trips to interesting gardens. Volunteers look after green spaces in Thursby Village.. Everyone welcome. Members free, non-members £1.

The group exists to manage the Thursby Jubilee Playing Field, its pavilion and playing facilities on behalf of Thursby Parish Council. This
includes maintenance of buildings, facilities and parts of the grounds. It is a non-profit organisation with charitable status.
